Everything inside Candlune
This isn't a list of checkboxes. It's an explanation of how each part of the platform helps you practise and review trading decisions in simulation.
Candle-by-candle market replay
Candlune replays real historical Gold data one candle at a time. You press Space to play, candles appear, and you see the market exactly as it built — with no foreknowledge of what's coming next.
Hindsight is the enemy of honest learning. When you look at a finished chart, your brain automatically fits a narrative to what happened. In live trading, that clarity doesn't exist. Candlune removes hindsight from the equation — you're making decisions under genuine uncertainty, which makes the practice record more honest.
- All 7 timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h
- Historical data from January 2021 through March 2026
- Plays at a pace you control — pause whenever you want to think
Real historical data — Gold (XAUUSD)
Every session in Candlune uses historical XAUUSD market data from its data provider to construct replay candles. Spot-market prices can vary by venue and provider.
Practising on historical data can feel more realistic than purely artificial examples, but simulated replay still differs from live markets, including liquidity, slippage, fees, speed, and psychology.
- Historical XAUUSD replay data
- Coverage from January 2021 through March 2026
- Includes high-volatility sessions and low-liquidity periods
- Additional markets are planned; current full support is XAUUSD
Keyboard-first, distraction-free interface
Space to play and pause. Shift+B to buy. Shift+S to sell. C to close. Candlune is designed so your hands never leave the keyboard and your attention never leaves the chart.
Hesitation in trade execution is a real problem for developing traders. The more friction between the decision and the action, the more time there is for second-guessing. Keyboard-first design lets you rehearse a cleaner simulated execution workflow without implying live-trading results.
- Space: play / pause
- Shift+B: buy · Shift+S: sell · C: close position
- Arrow Right: step one candle
- Set stop-loss and take-profit at entry
- Minimal interface — nothing between you and the decision
Automatic cloud-synced trade journal
Every trade you place and close is automatically saved to your account — entry price, exit price, direction, result, and the date and timeframe of the session. No manual logging required.
Most traders who claim to keep a journal don't — because it's friction-heavy and easy to skip. Candlune removes the friction entirely. Your journal builds itself, invisibly, in the background. Over time it becomes one of the most valuable things you own: an honest record of every decision you've made.
- Auto-saved on every trade close
- Cloud-synced — accessible from any device
- Add notes, setup types, bias, and execution tags
- Persistent across sessions — your history never disappears
Copy AI Review export
After a simulated trade closes, Candlune can copy a complete review prompt with the candle path, entry, exit, risk, setup tags, confidence, notes, and post-exit context.
Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or your preferred AI chat to review execution quality and process mistakes without manually rebuilding the trade. Candlune does not provide trade signals or live financial advice.
- Includes pre-entry, in-trade, and post-exit candles
- Copies risk, R multiple, MFE/MAE, indicators, and notes
- Built for simulated review, not live trade recommendations
Analytics dashboard
Candlune analyses your trade history and surfaces the numbers that actually tell you how you're performing: win rate, average risk-to-reward, equity curve, and setup breakdowns.
Gut feel is not a feedback mechanism. You might feel stronger on one timeframe, while your simulated journal shows a different pattern. The dashboard makes simulated performance visible so you can review process and consistency without treating it as a promise of live trading results.
- Win rate by timeframe and setup type
- Equity curve charted across all sessions
- Daily P&L breakdown with calendar view
- Best and worst trade analysis
Drawing tools, EMA, and VWAP
Candlune includes drawing tools and two key indicators: configurable Exponential Moving Averages and VWAP. These are what most serious intraday traders actually use — not a wall of 50 indicators you'll never look at.
- Rectangle and zone drawing tools
- Configurable EMA (default: 20-period)
- Session VWAP for intraday context
- Volume histogram
- Everything toggleable — show or hide as needed
Multi-timeframe support
Switch between seven timeframes within Candlune: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, and 4h. Your trading style might not be discovered on the first timeframe you try.
Many traders waste months on the 1-minute chart before realising their temperament is better suited to the 15-minute or 1-hour. Candlune lets you explore all of them and compare how your results change across timeframes.
- Smooth switching between all 7 timeframes
- Journal tracks which timeframe each trade was taken on
- Analytics broken down by timeframe for comparison
